Wow, such an incisive question.  I really don’t know how to answer that.  :p

I don’t actually call myself a DJ, only because I don’t spin records live.  But I have been remixing music since 1981, when I first heard Grandmaster Flash cutting up records on “Wheels of Steel”.  Since then the whole concept of gathering sounds and parts of songs and cutting them together into my own creation has been the most fascinating art form.  I remixed using turntables and tape decks for 20 years, then I started doing it on the computer.  That gave me the freedom to start creating my own sounds, which lead to writing and producing my own music as well, so now I do both.  :-)

Really the only thing I make is music.  And I am always planning new mixes and songs.  I also draw, but it has been a long time since I have done that.

I did make this octopus out of yarn.  For real, I made this!  

I’m really not big on sweets, but from time to time I like vanilla ice cream with hot fudge.

My favorite desert USED to be Fried Ice Cream from Chi-Chi’s.  Sadly though, all the Chi-Chi’s have been closed down for many years now, and I have never found a Mexican place that can duplicate the amazing fried ice cream they served.

I had a pilonidal cyst back there when I was 19.  The surgeon who did the operation decided the best course of action was to remove the cyst and rearrange the tissue in a cris-cross fashion that would prevent the cyst from ever returning.  While that worked, and the cyst has never returned, the scar that was left has always made me very self-conscious.  I would go to extreme measures to make sure no one saw my ass for a long time.  Finally I decided I needed to just accept it.  But I did decide to mask it a little with the tattoo, which does help me deal with it better, as now attention generally goes to the tattoo before the scar.

Anyone who follows my blog knows I never posted ass pictures before I got the tattoo.  I still don’t post a lot of them, but I don’t mind so much anymore.
